FW, also called film wire, identifies a phenolic board whose working face has a wire mesh embossing. Visually, the texture is made up of intersecting lines that increase contact with soles, wheels and packaging. It is a common solution for loading platforms, trailers, ramps and van floors that require a grippy surface.
The panel is made from a plywood core of wood veneers bonded for humid conditions. A phenolic film with a wire mesh pattern is applied to the working face; the reverse face is usually smooth, depending on the reference. Thickness, edge sealing, installation and maintenance also determine the outcome.

The FW wire mesh creates a pronounced texture that provides better footing than a smooth face. It is useful when operators step onto the vehicle or wheeled loads are handled. Actual grip varies with moisture, dirt, footwear, tyres and the condition of the film; do not claim a fixed level without testing.
Wear resistance depends on traffic and dragging. Avoid fork impacts, unprotected dragged loads and incompatible cleaners. Inspect joints, screws, edges and cut-outs.
HEXA is a hexagonal anti-slip surface with hexagon-shaped embossing. Like FW, it is designed to add texture to the board’s running surface. Its regular pattern offers a different aesthetic and can be a particularly attractive alternative where the visible platform forms part of the vehicle’s presentation.
The process starts with a plywood base with one face coated in textured phenolic film. In HEXA, the embossing takes a hexagonal form. Specify the complete reference: thickness, format, construction and reverse face all change the outcome of the project.

The hexagonal pattern provides contact points and a texture designed for grip. Like FW, it should be assessed with actual loads, moisture, cleaning, incline and load securing conditions. Request a sample for ramps, livestock vehicles or areas with demanding hygiene requirements.
The HEXA pattern helps to visually identify walkways. Resistance will depend on avoiding aggressive dragging, repairing cuts, and protecting edges, drilled holes and machined areas.

Both ranges benefit from professional installation. Allow suitable installation gaps, fix the board according to the truck body design, and protect every newly cut edge. The best anti-slip truck flooring loses value if joints are exposed to water or if fixing points damage the film without sealing.
Grip and cleaning are inseparable criteria. FW or HEXA may be suitable for the platform or ramp, but assess the gradient, drainage, structure and applicable requirements. Request a sample and validate the solution with the bodybuilder.

In a refrigerated body, the decisive criterion is usually the balance between grip, cleaning and moisture control. Do not select the texture without considering cleaning products and drainage. Sealed joints and edges matter as much as the anti-slip face.
The choice must withstand use involving load securing, vibration and rotating loads. Long formats reduce joints in some designs.
